This was a short session. Fiona announced that she had to go away for a little bit, so the Club House Gang was left to it's own devices. [insert ominous music here]

Carmichael suggested the group check out one of the Ways that existed near Rebma. Basically, these were the underwater kingdoms that Rebma had commerce with.The major drawback to these places was that unless you were a Rebman, you couldn't breath. Eek.

Fortunately, Carmichael knew of artifacts that allowed visitors to breath underwater.

Unfortunately, they had to be magically charged, and they were under lock and key.

Fortunately, Benjamin and Vic felt they could handle each of those obstacles respectively.

Vic went with Carmichael to steal the stuff. While there he noticed a mirror lying in the drawer with them. Being suspicious of mirrors in Rebma, Vic held it up so that he could say, "What's this here for...?"

Unfortunately, he made it to, "W—" before going out cold.

There was an chill numbness through his body, and after a bit of terse interrogation by some mystery female voice, Vic woke up to a freaked out Carmichael.

Vic returned with the artifacts, and Benjamin charged them up. He was certain he charged them up. Now the group just needed to test them out. Erika snatched one and headed off. So of course Alia grabbed one because she couldn't endanger one of her "subjects" needlessly. So of course Vic grabbed Erika's and went after Alia. After an argument about whether or not Vic was really going to go with her, Alia stepped off from the stairs, followed by Vic.

Bone chilling cold, but no death. All was well, in a manner of speaking. Carmichael thought we were all morons for testing them out that way.

So, then off to the neat place Carmichael told the group about. Vic got dragged into escorting Erika, so Kevin offered to escort Alia, and the rest of the gang just trailed along.

What none of the group knew was that Carmichael was taking the group to a sort of a "bath house", which was run by a fish-like man named Yosef. The group split up into two groups by gender, which was probably a good thing. It turned out that this bath house had two types of baths: relaxing and "invigorating". It also turned out that there was staff on hand to "service" guests.

Out of Character, Jeremy and Charon were singing the "William Tell Overture" while thinking of Clockwork Orange.

So, most of the rest of the week passed uneventfully. Fiona instructed the group. People pursued their own pet projects.

Then Benjamin and Adrienne disappeared.

So, the group went off in search of the wayward kids. Fiona was notified of Benjamin's disappearance. Carmichael led the group to somewhere she thought Adrienne might be. Basically down a deep chasm past where any normal Amberite could tolerate to go, finding shells.

Carmichael went down, evil-chitinous-armored-guy-riding-giant-squiggly-tentacled-thing came out, with Adrienne under one arm and Carmichael blown away by the force of the current.

The party of course charged the bad guy. Vic and Alia naturally closed with swords on Mr. Evil, Kevin used a knife to try and saw the creature up inch by inch. Gordon was trying to just get a few licks in. Sammuel tried a crafty maneuver and got thwacked for his efforts. This was followed by Alia playing martyr and getting hit so Vic could take out the guy, Sammuel clearing his senses and grabbing on to Mr. Squiggly to fry its wee brain, and further general melee by everyone else.

So, Alia took a wound to the chest, Vic killed Mr. Evil, and Sammuel fried the creature's wee brain.

Alia was also poisoned and getting nasty looks from Vic.

Since the field trip was essentially over, and Benjamin had been safely found somewhere by his mother, and Alia needed to go to dry land to heal up properly, everyone packed up and left for dry land. Vic, Alia, Gordon, and Kevin went to the manor house to get clean dry clothes for Alia, and in order to arrange transportation (since trumping is a bit rough on the wounded). Vic spent most of his time glaring at Alia, while Kevin had a pleasant conversation with her and Gordon silently wondered how long Vic and Alia had been married. ;)
