GMs: Andy Blija and Glynis Mitchell
Cast (ie: Three people with nothing in common!)
Kath Nyborg as Sophia!
Jeremy Zimmerman as Sedgewick Harcourt!
and Cort Odekirk as Rolfe!
When last we saw our dauntless heroes, it was late at night, and Sedgewick was preparing to summon the spirit from the spot in the floor. Rolfe appeared, currently in possession of vast cosmic power and sporting a large Pattern charged stiffy. He was present in case things... took a turn for the worse.
The spirits name was Sabrielle, and it looked like all of Sedgewick's benefic spirits: humanoid in form, with glowing white "skin" and white tendrils of light streaming from its back. Though the spirits are typically genderless, this one seemed noticeably feminine.
It provided nothing particularly helpful as far as this transcriber is concerned, though it did note that fate is what you choose, if this transcriber is correct. It identified its master as "The Lady". It knew nothing of the angry dead, but did molify Rolfe with information that yes, there were Chaotic spies lurking about in Amber.
Meanwhile, at the Lady Sophia Home for Wayward Women and Dwarves, Sophia was having an unfortunate nocturnal occurance. No, not bed-wetting, but rather a oneiromatic visit from everyone's favorite ghost: Jolan.
Jolan met Sophia in a hall filled with statues of the royal family of Amber, and then proceeded to play the role of "Ghost of Shitty Lives Past", taking her back through her scarring as a child, and his own death, lamenting that he was innocent, and was resisted because he was scared.
She woke, finally, and found her house stifling hot. The source of the heat was coming from Serenity. No, it wasn't just high metabolism, but instead a strange supernatural effect that her warding amulet was not protecting her from. When she awoke, she said she dreamt that Bleys had gone up to Tir-na Nog'th the following night and gotten into a heap of trouble.
Sophia and Serenity go charging to the Castle in search of Bleys, but don't find him. So then they go find Fiona, hearing that Bleys had gone to see her, but she doesn't know where Bleys is.
Everyone spends the following day preparing to go up to Tir-na Nog'th. Even Sophia, who was previously forbade by her father from going there. Sedgewick flies up to the top of the city, while everyone else takes the stairs.
Sedgewick tries to make peace with the mysterious "E", but is met with a near lethal crushing in the tower. He then launches a demon horde after his antagonist, and watches with glee as they rampage through the city.
Rolfe is met with a reality where he is being held captive for killing King Eric. He finds the whole thing silly, and decides to Pattern teleport out. Unfortunately, that much Pattern energy dispels the local presence of Tir-na Nog'th, and Rolfe finds himself on a one way ticket to Rebma. Fortunately for Rolfe, Sedgewick had left Ariel lingering beneath the city in case he himself started to plummet, and Rolfe was saved from the clutches of a watery owwie.
Sophia and Serenity met with unknown horrors. ("Hi, my name is Glynis. I'll be your torturer for the evening. Today's special is 'Heartbreak', served with baby corn and a side of fava beans. For tonights wine, might I recommend a bottle of whiskey and a small handgun. ")
The following day, Sedgewick visits the constabulary to let Marion know he's alive and able to help with the serial killer. He jokingly asks for a desk, and receives one. He takes Marion to a high tech shadow for a vacation and healing, and then comes back. He's well settled into work before the horror strikes him that he now has a day job.
Sophia boards a ship for Midsummer, and goes sailing off to that summer city to seek out the Secret Society of People Who Hate Mallory. (Hmmm should Sedgewick get onto their mailing list?)
During the day, Rolfe began work on his new Pattern sword. Be afraid. Be very afraid.
And, finally, a small celebration was held in Castle Amber to celebrate the return to health of King Random the First. It was meant to be stag party, but Fiona crashed it. Featured were large quantities of wine, and a fun feature film with Dworkin manhandling Random and shoving a large crystal up his nose.
