Session 9 Quotes From This Session Harlok summoned to see the regent while coping with a raging hangover. Harlok is given command of the Amber navy to attack a shadow called Orlean. Egon and Aramis set about breaking into Castle Amber. Among other things, they attempt to steal the Jewel of Judgement. Aramis snoops around the royal chambers while Egon watches via trump. Egon gets a trump call from Pete, who somehow knows that they may need help. Pete is standing right in front of Egon. Pete reveals that he knows sorcery. Jeremy Z. has a panic attack at the shock of actually learning something about Pete. Pete, Egon, and Aramis spend several hours taking the wards off the box where the Jewel is believed to be kept. Aramis opens the safe and finds Ghostwheel looking back at him. In a moment of haste indiscretion, Aramis nabs the Jewel and trumps out, setting off alarms. Not that anyone else had any better ideas. The group trumps to Harlok's room, in order to start towards the Primal Pattern so Aramis can attune himself. Aramis finds Ghostwheel opening a portal underneath him, and subsequently finds himself surround by guards with drawn swords. Martin accuses Aramis of stealing the Jewel (which happens to be in his hands at this moment). Aramis claims he found it in Harlok's room while investigating the whole brainwashing thing. Ghostwheel demonstrates one of his more subtle talents: video surveillance. Aramis is caught red handed. Egon trumps Aramis out. Ghostwheel trumps Aramis back. Aramis finds himself surrounded by guards with their swords at his throat. Aramis is carted off to prison. Egon experiments with magical cloning, and replaces Aramis with a doppelganger. Harlok explains that he's going to try and get Benedict to assume the regency. Egon and Aramis reveal that Llewella has Merlin's mortal remains. Everyone gets a chance to use the phrase "ubiquitous bitch" at some point.
