Session 14 Quotes From This Session Egon and Corinth trump to Rebma, and begin heading up to Amber, with Egon in cognito as a wolf. Harlok receives a box with the head of the man he had leading the attack in Orlean, as Noel looks on. Flora sends Pete off to have Harlok deal with the rioting problem. Egon, Corinth, Pete, Harlok, Noel, and Pete all meet up in the great hall of Amber, and head off to stop the riots. Egon shifts back into human form for the festivities. At the church, the priests are trying to incite the crowd. Harlok claims that the church is lying to the people, and decides to prove it by trumping food into the basement with Ghostwheel. A food riot begins. The church decries the actions as witchcraft. Things get generally ugly. Elswhere, Lamianna's mysterious body guard duties are interrupted by a trump call. She is abducted, and not heard from for a while. Sebastion trumps Noel, and has some words with her about some destruction of minions. Pete informs Egon that Noel's watch has Julian's name on it. Egon, Corinth, and Pete all step outside to trump Julian and inform him of Noel's existence. Noel asks Sebastion to help with the dispelling of the rioters in the church. He does so by disintegrating the rioters and the church. Harlok uses Ghostwheel to avoid that trouble. Julian is brought through to the outside of the church, just in time to see the church collapse, Noel, Sebastion and Harlok trump out, and all the stray particles recombine into hydrogen and explode. Egon invites Julian and the rest to the embassy and talk about things. Julian explains that the church plans to sacrifice one of the blood, and that they need help for a well timed strike to instill fear in the masses. Julian trumps off with Pete and gears him up. In the interim, Egon hangs spells. Sebastion is introduced to Flora, who asks for his assistance in the whole liberate the sacrificial Amberite. He agrees, and is sent off to Julian to coordinate. The plan is that Sebastion takes out the guard, everyone else rescues the victim, with Pete as the crucial member. Egon tries trumping Lamianna, and finds that she's bound up elsewhere, and is knocked unconscious before he can learn more. Egon and Sebastion both independantly scout out the sacrifice area. Lamianna can be seen chained up. Sebastion remains in the area, while everyone else rides in on big Iggy. Sebastion pins the high priest and his minions to a wall, then summons forth elementals from all three bonfires, informing them to rape and pillage everyone but Lamianna. The group arrives. Pete uses a spell to rust Lamianna's chains, Lamianna breaks free, but instead of running towards her rescuers, she runs to the castle, screaming, "I have to protect Martin!" Egon, wanting to do something, halts the attacking mob with the Gerbils of Doom. The words, "Ghostwheel remote terminal activated" are heard, right before Lamianna's neck explodes, taking off her head. Suddenly, there is no sound. Then there is sound, and the dead come back to life. Egon uses a lens to check out the Pattern and finds it green. Everyone else runs for the castle to inform Flora. Egon trumps Caine and takes him down to the Pattern. Everyone else arrives. Egon trumps all the elders he can reach in, with promises of a weenie roast. Llewella abstains, Bleys, Corwin, and Eric are unreachable. Egon doesn't try for Gerard. Dworkin informs Egon that death never existed, and that he wants to be left alone to get some sleep. Sebastion tries summoning the spirit of the Pattern. The Pattern informs Sebsatian that he wants some sleep. Lamianna and Corinth both begin walking the Pattern. Lamianna drops her head along the way, and it explodes. Bets are made along the way as to whether Lamianna will survive. Fiona insists that Arawn knows better than to end death. Egon trumps Arawn, and Arawn brings Egon through. Arawn is in the midst of a banquet, with various dead people sporting the Obi-Wan glow. Arawn assures Egon that he did indeed end death, and that of course his mother wouldn't have faith in him. Lamianna and Corinth reach the center of the Pattern. Lamianna regrows a head. Corinth shouts "I'm free!" and disappears just as Lamianna swings at him. Lamianna asks the Pattern to take her to Arawn, and she joins Egon. Meanwhile, Sebastion and Noel seek out Random, but cannot seem to get him away from his vat without alarming Ghostwheel. They then decide to try tossing normal blood on the Pattern, with predictable results. Lamianna and Egon trump out to Eric's tomb, and open it to uncover Zombie Eric. Pete trumps through to them, and they proceed to take Z. Eric Olivaw off to Castle Amber. About this time, Sebastion and Noel decide they need an Amberite, so they go for Egon first. Fools. Sebastion trumps Egon and asks if he can stop by for a bit. Egon says he would, but he's got other things to attend to. Egon fumbles and loses the psyche battle that ensues, and is brought forcefully to Sebastion. Lamianna tags along, and helps Egon break the psychic link. Noel wraps Lamianna in a tapestry, about the same time that Sebastion suffers from an unusual psychic attack. (OOC, everyone know's it's Corinth). Egon makes a rush for Noel and gets shot for his efforts, but Lamianna manages to escape. Egon shuffles out the trump of Amber, and starts to concentrate on it, and Lamianna moves to trump out with him, as Noel cuts down Lamianna. Lamianna falls on Egon ruining his concentration. Egon tries to trump out again, but in a miscarriage of justice, loses his one good hand, along with the trump. Lamianna picks up Egon, grabs the hand, and moves one shadow to the left, taking Noel with her. Noel sets about apologizing for her earlier actions, but won't part with the hand. Lamianna muscles the hand away, and then steps one more shadow to the left, taking hand and Egon.
