- Group spends time determining what to do with Martin and Gerard. It is finally decided that Gerard will be sent to an absolutely dark shadow he cannot shift out of. While Martin will be given to Flora to receive the infamous Corwin Treatment.
- Gerard is transferred, and Martin is laid low by enough sleeping drugs and muscle relaxants to put down a horse. Unfortunately, Ghostwheel is still tagging along.
