Living

Everyone has to have at least one semi-permanent residence in the greater Twin Peaks area. It is this arrangement of residences near the Game site that determines where the Game will be played. The big qualifier being somewhere that you sleep, that doesn't move, and you've declared to be a place where you live. An arbitrary street corner doesn't fit the bill. A campsite set up in a campgrounds does. There are a few options for living:

Just Visiting

There are a number of hotels in the area, the largest and most popular being the Great Northern Hotel. There are also a few Victorian-style inns, as well as a couple bed and breastfast establishments.

Also, there are a few campgrounds nearby, offering an ideal setup for those who want to have RVs or tents.

Residential Area
Near the center of town, in addition to other official buildings, are many of the local residences. It's fairly small-townish, but if you're planning on being a solid resident of Twin Peaks, this is the place to be.
The Boonies
In the thick forests surrounding Twin Peaks, it's easy to have a shack of one sort or another all of your very own, out in the middle of nowhere. Most of this area is government owned property in the form of National and State Parks, but the locals tend not to worry about the occasional hermit just trying to get away from it all.
Other
This small sampling certainly doesn't cover the full extent of living options in Twin Peaks. They just cover most of the options for normal humans. These don't take into account living in Black Lake Cemetary, in the bottom of one of the nearby lakes or rivers, or even something as mundane as living across the lake at or near One Eyed Jack's (though the only people that typically live there are ladies of ill repute).
Hanging Out
There are a few places where the residents of Twin Peaks can be found burning time. Two locations of note are:

The Double R

The Double R is a small diner owned by Norma Jennings, the first Miss Twin Peaks back in her day. While still lovely as always, she spends her time managing her diner, and turning out a damn fine cherry pie.
The Roadhouse
The Roadhouse is a local bar that's fairly popular. Though the legal drinking age is 21, the bartenders tend to be a bit lax with the locals that they know, so it's also a somewhat popular hang out for the high school students.
