The story started with Lars, the child of Findo, returning to Amber. Returning first to his estate he made his presence known to only those that are working for him. To their relief he kept them employed.

Meanwhile Flora descended upon Kaoru and Ansom, and left them both wondering how to breath in such uncomfortable clothing. Ansom, although used to such treatment, was unhappy about being redressed.

Before dinner Lars made his presence a bit more known and found his seat. Surprisingly everyone was seated near each other toward the center of the table. After some dinner conversation, and catching Lars up on what had happened in the recent years, Eric received a note. Julian was told something and leaves. Caine took Julian's seat, Ferrin was told to follow Julian, and Lellyn decided to follow also.

Those that followed got to the south wall in time to see the council hall destroyed in a firey explosion. As the shock set in a masked group attacked Julian's group from the guard towers. Lellyn was shot with a crossbow bolt, and Ferrin was knocked unconscious.

Strangely, as this is going on, Vincent was giving a play by play of the action, while eating his dinner. Hearing what was going on Lars and Kaoru run to the location of the strife. Lars arrived in time to see the after image of a group of people trumping out. Kaoru arrived in time to see the wounded being taken to the infirmary.

Kaoru took a look at the situation and tried to replay it in her mind, while trying not to be distracted by Alice. After putting together a few things that people saw it was decided that the League of the Silver Rose was to blame for the attack. It was also decided that it was a statement and perhaps a test run of a future attack.

People returned to the dance hall, and a few people danced. Ideas were exchanged. Lars disappeared into the garden, and did something with a cat. That part of the story wasn't well heard. Vinnie took Alice, and her bodyguards, to his room for cappuccinos. While Ansom and Lellyn mingled.

At some point it was decided that Vincent would be the person to know what the note said. Thus Kaoru, Ferrin, and Lellyn paid a visit. A few ideas where thrown about, and Ansom was rescued from a very drunk Deirdre.

The next day Lars and Kaoru were summoned to Eric at noon. They were told to check on some attacks on Rebma, as Eric is trying to set things right between the two kingdoms. It should be noted that both Lars and Kaoru hate water, and Lars hates Rebma in general.

At one Vincent and Ferrin were summoned and asked to set up an information network to uncover the League of the Silver Rose. Ansom was also dragged into the situation. Strangely Ansom kept disappearing and doing things on his own.

Alice caught a few people looking around her church. She followed them into the forest where they removed their disguises and rode off on horses. She reported the incident to someone at her church and then contacted Kaoru via Trump. Kaoru advised that she speak to Ferrin or Vincent. She and Vincent checked into the situation.

Ansom and Ferrin did something, in which Ansom kept disappearing.

Meanwhile Kaoru and Lars found that the Queen of Rebma is missing, and it is suspected that it is connected with the attacks. Kaoru noticed that all the attacks are happening around a very deep trench. The three men that Kaoru took with her were stationed to watch the top of the trench and a rope that Kaoru set up.

After traveling down the trench for a good way Lars and Kaoru were attacked by pods of tentacles. They defeated the mob, but Kaoru was greatly effected by the poison that the creatures had. She returned to the top of the trench and promptly passed out. Lars continued on.

Kaoru regained consciousness back in Rebma, with Ansom leaning over her. As she tried to get her body working again Ansom Trumped Vinnie, his boys, and Ferrin into Rebma. Vincent is asked to contact Lars, and he is found nearly unconscious at the top of the trench. He is Trumped through and reports that the Tritons are trying to take Rebma back.

The entire team is then Trumped into Eric's bathroom, and probably receive some disfavor. They are able to tell Eric what is going on before taking Kaoru and Lars to the infirmary.
