Death is light as a feather, duty is as heavy as a mountain. Or so Robert Jordan describes it. Alia is working hard to be a good monarch. She cares a good deal for her siblings ("her subjects") and works hard to make certain everyone is well and safe.

She's also the confidant of many of her peers. Should she turn out to be a force for evil, she may also be compiling a large quantity of blackmail material.
