Cast

Below is a list of personalities with that have appeared so far in the campaign. The main focus will be on non-canon personalities that have appeared, though if I have time I'll include a commentary as to what has been seen regarding Zelazny's own characters in my campaign. There are several characters that are treated like "PCs", and were included in the attribute auction for the purpose of competition. These individuals are noted with an asterix (*).

Ambrose* - Son of Moire, Prince of Rebma

"Long and lanky, and looking rather smug, is a fair hard youth leaning back against a low coral wall with his sword resting on his shoulder, as tiny fish swim around his legs. He is clad in in pastel blues and greens, which fit loosely on him and seem to be slightly tugged by a current. Ambrose.
Ambrose is the child of Moire and some say an Amberite. He's proved his heritage by walking the Pattern, but other than that his heritage is ultimately unknown. He has been assigned to the embassy sent to meet with Finndo.

Archibald Morpheus - Lord of House Morpheus

"...a patriarchal figure of heroic proportions covered in a mass of armor and spines, seated in a massive throne of chrome and flesh. In one hand is held a human skull, in the other a rigid string of vertebrae."
House Morpheus is a middling level house known for its scholarly pursuits more than anything else. In fact, one of the most notable things about their Ways is the extensive libraries they possess. Archibald, more commonly known simply by the house name "Morpheus", is one of the most noted Logrus scholars in the Courts. He is said to have walked the Logrus for the first time not long after Suhuy himself, and was said to have been a companion of Dworkin's before his rebellion.

Garr* - Amberite Ambassador to Rebma

"...you see one of the jackal-headed men, clad in what is probably formal attire, a sort of gold and sapphire blue headdress that comes down from the top of his head and covers his shoulders, a jewel-lined white kilt, and a pair of jewel encrusted sandals on his feet. In one hand he holds a crystal tipped staff, and in the other he holds the leash to what appears to be a young child of about six years and indeterminate gender, clad in a simple white kilt, sandals, and a gold skullcap atop its shaved head."
Garr is much like many of the Generals of Finndo's army that marched against Amber. He has been sent to Rebma to serve as Ambassador to the court.

Gorman* - Rebman Ambassador to Amber

"...an older gentleman, with a fair amount of gray appearing in his hair."
Gorman was the former Ambassador to Kashfa, and Moire's most experienced foreign agent. He has been recalled from his duties abroad to serve as Ambassador to the court of King Finndo.

Malagigi* - Sorceror

"Staring at you fiercely with odd, black on black eyes, is an older looking gent. His palid skin is completely devoid of hair, and clad in an all-red slick-suit which emphasizes his gauntness. Held at an angle across his body is a staff mounted with some sort of animal's head at the tip."
Malagigi is a shadow sorceror of some renown who has spent a good deal of time studying in the library in the Ways of Morpheus. He handled the pre-Logrus magical training of both Marwin and Seldom. He had what, at best, could be described as a fondness for Seldom, but did not seem to like Marwin very much.

Marwin Morpheus - Noble of House Morpheus, deceased

"This man in this trump is beautiful in almost a feminine way, though his loose hanging clothing only barely conceals well-defined physique. He is lounging decadently against what appears to be a gravestone, clad in a black slacks, a blousy and frilly white shirt, and a black vest. One hand is lifting glass goblet filled with some greenish fluid, to his lazily grinning lips."
Marwin was the heir to the lordship of Morpheus prior to his demise. Despite his seeming decadent manner, he was noted mostly for his uncanny knack for the more metaphysical arts. His body was discovered outside his rooms by Rufus, Captain of the Guard for House Morpheus, under what would best be described as unusual circumstances.

Maynard Morpheus - Noble of House Morpheus

"He's probably off sitting in shadow wearing adult diapers and having a devoted servant wipe his drool off his chin."
Maynard was Vernon's brother, more of a statesman and general behind the scenes manipulator than the scholar his brother was. He wandered off some time ago, never to be heard from again.

Merdin* - Son of Moire, Prince of Rebma

"Something about the looks of this young man makes you want to take him out for a drink and unburden yourself of all your problems. Perhaps it's the easy-going smile, or perhaps it's the look of confidence. Those bright blues are mostly friendly, but they could easily turn to a piercing gaze.

"Standing 5'10, with black hair to collar length, Merdin regards the artist of the trump. His hand rests easily on the hilt of the sword at his side.

"The small fish swimming around appear unnoticed as they dip between his legs.

"Merdin wears a green cloak, over a green tunic. The folds of the tunic spread out and ripple in the currents of the water."

Merdin is the son of Moire and what many believe to be an Amberite. It is unknown, however, as Moire isn't saying who the father is. However, he's apparently proven his heritage in the time honored fashion of walking the Pattern. He has been chosen as part of the embassy entourage to Amber.

Moirana* - Daughter of Moire, Princess of Rebma

"The next card pictures a petite and very thin girl, her hair arrayed about her in a wild current. All that is truly visible is her face, illuminated by the dim flame of a candle that she holds in one hand, leaving the rest in sillouhette. Moirana, your half sister."
Called the "Sea Witch" when she's not around, this child of Moire is truly a strange one. None know who the father is, though there are unsubstantiated rumors that it is a prince of Amber. Whatever the case, she's very powerful in the sorcerous arts, and seems to be only barely tolerated in the court of Moire. She has, however, been selected as part of the embassy to Amber.

Reginald* - Son of Osric, Ex-Patriate of Amber

"The next card features a man of sturdy build, almost blockish in it's sharp definition. He is clad in a green doublet trimmed with milk-chocolate brown, and breeches of the same brown. One foot is raised up onto a small boulder, and his arms rest on his knee, one hand holding a sword as he looks off into the distance."
Reginald is the son of Osric, one of the elder children of Oberon with Cymnea. He was sent as an ambassador to the Courts when Amber was still on borderline good relationtions with them many centuries prior to the Patternfall War. After Oberon's marriage with Cymnea was disolved ab initio and both his father and his Uncle Finndo died for the good of Amber, Reginald chose to sever his ties with Amber. He'd always been close to Marwin during his tenure as an ambassador, and so he was given an unofficial place in House Morpheus.

Rufus - Captain of the Guard, House Morpheus, Noble of House Kalder

Rufus is a noble of the Petty House of Kalder, which is a vassal of House Morpheus. His family elected to have him serve their Lord, and after a rather lowly start, he worked his way up to his current position. He was the one who discovered Marwin's body.

Roland* - Son of Llewella, Prince of Rebma

"Last is a fairly young looking man, green locks cascading about his face, his only form of clothing being a pair of blue and green scaled trunks, an emerald dangling from one ear, and a silver anklet on one foot. His arms are crossed in front of him, as he all around looks content. Your cousin, Roland, son of Llewella."

Roland is the son of Llewella, whom she has sheltered a good deal. Though he's fairly well studied in the arcane arts, he has not left Rebma, and it's said his mother has forbade him from walking the Pattern. He has been chosen as part of the embassy to Amber.

Seldom Morpheus* - Noble of House Morpheus

Played by Jeffrey Henderson

"Imagine a body emanating a kind of inhuman soft light...really bright, but really soft, having the effect of sort of blurring the features of the being...real holy looking. Then take a negative photograph of it. So all that light is like dark. Like a halo in reverse. Sort of sucks up light, emanates a lack of light. With one small horn on the right side of her head to 'hold up her halo'. Eyes a deep deep blue negative light, slightly distinguishable from the surrounding face in 'colour'. Most features difficult to make out, but clearly humanoid. But most clearly not human."
Younger sister to Marwin, she has also been following in the footsteps of her family's long standing tradition of magical studies. Many of those closely associated with House Morpheus dislike her on principle, as she is extremely arrogant and over-confidant in her abilities.

Vernon Morpheus - Former Lord of House Morpheus, deceased

"When you were very small you'd sometimes run into him while you were busy getting into trouble in the library. He was always a bit absent minded when you knew him, and a bit full of his own opinion. The only other thing you really remember strongly is his funeral."
Vernon Morpheus was Archibald's father and one of the "old guard" of Chaos, one of those who remembered the days before Amber fondly. He had lobbied long for action against that upstart, Dworkin, but died some time before Patternfall War. It is believed by many that it was Vernon who taught Suhuy everything he knows about the Logrus. In fact, he probably understood shadow better than most people, considering that he was an expert on the Logrus both before and after the formation of the Pattern. He even compiled many of his thoughts into the rare tome known as, "A Dissertation on the Fundamental Nature of Shadow and Beyond". No one is quite clear on how he died. It's generally assumed that he died of some sort of terminal illness combined with extreme old age.
